A bedside crib, also referred to as a baby bassinet, is positioned next to your bed so that you can safely take care of your baby during night feedings and nappy-changings without having to leave your bed. These cribs are great to help develop independence for your child as they get more comfortable in their own sleeping space.

It also comes with 11 height adjustments that allow it to fit on the mattress of almost any size bed. It also comes with adjustable feet that fold down to make sure that it's placed at just the right height.

The cot is cushioned and has mesh sides to increase the airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam for added protection. It's also washable and you can keep the crib clean. It comes with a fitted mattress sheet that can be used for the crib.

It can also be used as a standalone crib when not attached to your bed and it's packed with amazing features that were created with the bonding of parents and children in mind.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is great for babies, it won't last long once your child is six months old, so you'll need to invest in a bigger cot. Overall, Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a excellent purchase and she was particularly impressed by its sleek design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was an affordable price for a cot with such advanced features. She was pleased with the way it looked in her bedroom, and thought the grey color would work in the majority of modern homes. She did point out that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause a bad sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee

It has a drop side rail that can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to disturb your little one or get them out of bed - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It comes in oak or charcoal with a variety of melange fabrics that will blend with most decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you encounter any issues.

It also comes with six height settings. Additionally, there is an inclines feature that can be used to help infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It can even be converted into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically make your baby sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it has a lot of great features. bedside cosleeper can be used as either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel using a brand new mechanism. 4-in-1 bedside crib is also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to place under any bed.
Our testers loved the ease of access offered by the side panel, which can be moved upwards and down with one push of a button. This was a huge help in feedings at night because it meant they could easily reach in and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by it's own, however this is not advised, as it increases the risk that your baby will get out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only stay down if it is attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This is a great feature to have for peace of mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers, thanks to the telescopic legs. It also has an option to tilt for reflux babies and a rocking mode to bring them back to sleep after eating. It is also very spacious and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it does come with an extensive instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers, but it's easily moved from one room to another. It's also small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use which is a bonus if you need to transport it. The only drawback our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't move as much as some of the other models, making it difficult to observe your child from your bed.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to start. It took us an hour to complete and was relatively easy to put together. The only issue was the lack of captions in writing on some of the pictures which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of high quality.
The Shnuggle Air is a great option for women who are breastfeeding or have had an e-csection. It lets them reach out and hold their baby for comfort and feeding without leaving their bed. It's a great option for parents who don't want the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot or even getting them out of it.
During our testing we observed the gliding motion of this next-to-me crib to be especially useful in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or have extra features like a sound system, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our top bedside crib reviews.
